Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans premiered at the Rome Film Festival

The film, which won an Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, was co-written by Spielberg with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, a longtime collaborator with the director, twice Academy Award-nominated for his screenplays for Lincoln and Munich. The producers are Academy Award nominees Kristi Makusko-Krieger, Spielberg, and Kushner.

The Fabelmans, an insightful and personal look at American childhood in the twentieth century, is the coming-of-age story of a young man who uncovers a shocking family secret and explores the power of films in helping us see the truth about each other. And on ourselves.
