Samsung Galaxy A04e, the official new entry-level smartphone

Samsung has announced a new super cheap smartphone: it’s called the Galaxy A04e, and it has High resolution LCD display, drop notch and a maximum of 4 GB of RAM. At the entry level, indeed, but with dignity after all. The full data sheet is as follows:

As for the SoC, rumors say it could be MediaTek Helio G35, with an eight-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU at a maximum of 2.3GHz and an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The premise comes from the fact that the Galaxy M04 (so far unannounced) was recently spotted with this exact chip that is very similar to the A04e – so much so that it’s presumably exactly the same device with different names depending on the market. Unfortunately, this theory is still impossible to confirm at the moment.

The smartphone is available in three colors: red/pink, blue, black. At the moment, we don’t have exact information about which memory configurations will be marketed, when they will arrive, in which markets, and how much they will cost.
